The moon beckoned me, but it was the indigo of twilight that brought rest to my weary spirit. The fairies of the night gave up their seclusion, and with the lighting of their lanterns revealed their presence. The air, thick with the promise of morning dew, wrapped itself around me like a covering of velvet. Cicadas were singing an evening lullaby and, like the sirens of Greek mythology, their song drifted across the distance; however, the music of the cicadas sought not the souls of weary sailors, but rather went in search of sleep, enticing it to join me. I yawned… and welcomed slumber’s arrival.
